We all know some benefits of mobile phones, but have you ever heard that they have saved lives? According to the FCC, the very device that you look at over 250 times a day (if you are like the average American) has rescued lives.

.For some phones, you can activate the Emergency SOS feature by pressing the side button five times and then sliding the red slider to start the call to 911. Another option to activate this feature is to hold the side button along with one of the volume buttons until the Emergency SOS slider appears.

Some newer Samsung, Motorola and iPhones also have built in SOS features that either notify a relative or in state, can automatically reach out to nearest police fire or rescue locations.

Can Alexa, Google Home, Siri notify people in emergencies?

Yes, our sometimes-trusted interactive information, music, shopping devices can be programmed to reach a relative. While the FCC still doesn’t allow these devices to call the police or hospitals. Simple go into the corresponding APP on your phone or tablet, make sure the device is on the same Wi-Fi location as the mobile phone. Then go into setting and locate calling partners and place your relatives or friends name or email in the phone. If your relative has the same device, then your device can that the relatives device. If your relative or friends doesn’t have the same device, it can still dial their home or mobile phone. Practice this in case you might need it after a fall or accident.
